Now That's What I Call Anxiety!
SO, ABOUT THIS AVIVA...
Aviva owns a small, independent book shop named "Chandelure's Chapters" located just South of the Circhester gym.
While she seldom gives out any details about her family back home in Unova, she makes it clear that the bookstore was passed down to her by an old family acquaintance. She currently resides in the small apartment located above the shop.
As a child, Aviva was a stellar honor student who would go through books like a Greedent goes through berries. This is due to the fact that she was raised in an incredibly strict and suffocating household that demanded nothing short of the best from her. Unfortunately, despite her numerous academic successes, it was never good enough for her mother and so she kept being pushed to do more and more. After years of mounting pressure, something in her finally broke and since then she has been trying to put the pieces back together again.
Despite this setback, she still holds a deep love of literature and is desperately trying to get back the passion she had lost.
She is well aware of the irony of her struggle to read more as she tries to get the youth of Galar to read more.
While she has fought to reclaim her earlier passions only one passion has remained tried and true; her love of Ghost Pokemon.
As a sheltered booknerd growing up with little to no human friends, it was surprisingly easy to befriend a Misdreavus (Now a Mismagius named "Minerva.") It was even easier to somehow continue the pattern of befriending Ghost Pokemon until she inadvertently raised a powerful team that could hold their own.
Even with her solid team, she doesn't fancy herself as a professional trainer so she's never tried out for any sort of League work. Her true goal in life is to rekindle her love of writing and to finally publish one of her stories.
Her second goal in life is to make a friend but let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

Aviva's personality can be a hard one to pin down since she tries to keep a strong wall around her at all times. That said, once you get past her cold, indifferent exterior she's lowkey a touch-starved sweetheart.
Constant resting bitch face. She's really self-conscious of this and knows that it doesn't win her any friends.Despite her booksmarts, she's an idiot when it comes to reading people and is usually unable to handle social situations.She suffers from pretty intense social-anxiety and is usually a mental mess despite her calm and cool exterior.As a child she was never allowed to spend time outside or with her classmates so basic human interactions are foreign and terrifying to her.She longs to interact with people but has no idea how any of it works so her attempts at doing tend to come off as strained and awkward.Always in the background, she goes to great lengths to please people but seldom gets any credit or recognition for it. She gives out very sweet, thoughtful gifts to the few people she cares about (now if only she would attach her name to the card...)She very much has a "Type A" personality and can't seem to switch off. This reminiscent is of her days as a university-bound honor student and has been hard to shake off. She constantly overworks herself to the point of exhaustion and doesn't know how to relax.She LOVES really lame jokes and HATES to admit it. She tries not to let even the lamest "dad joke" break her cool facade but anyone can plainly see the smirk forming at the edge of her lips.Once she's comfortable around someone, she tends to use weird, out-dated lingo. This is mostly due to the fact that the only media she consumed were old movies/shows she rented from the library.Gnarly, bodacious, rad, tubular, and stuff that's like, totes grody.She's trying, okay?Don't let her cold demeanor and spooky Pokemon scare you away though! Deep down she's just a lonely soul who wants nothing more than to be amongst people and to love and care for them as freely as possible.You just need to, you know, not get your soul eaten by her Pokemon.
A FEW NOTES ABOUT HER LOOK
Aviva is PLUS-SIZED.PLEASE do not depict her as skinny and/or with too many sharp angles. She is a thicc queen with really wide hips and an extensive amount of junk in her trunk that she tries to hide under big, poofy skirts.
She is 5'0 even and yes, has a bit of a Napoleon complex.Even though there is no Pokemon equivalent YET (please gamefreak...) assume that she is a fair-skinned Latina.
MINERVA the MISMAGIUS
Minerva is the first Pokemon that Aviva ever caught on her own. She is her partner Pokemon and is absolutely ride or die. While a bit of a primadonna, she's well aware of her power and deserves to be proud of it.
ORION the CHANDELURE
Orion is a curious lad who seems to be the most mature member of the team (Aviva included.) He's a wise old man who is extremely protective of his family.
KAYUKI the FROSLASS
Kayuki is a picky prim-and-proper princess who seems to have a bit of a "sibling rivalry" thing going on with Minerva. That's just how sisters are.
PANCHITO the MIMIKYU
Panchito is a steadfast little ball of fury that's always down for a brawl. That said, he easily gets in way over his head and fights battles he cannot win.
JULIET the CURSOLA
Juliet is very much the doting mother of the group. She tends to worry too much about her team and gets easily distraught when watching them battle.
NAPKIN the SHUPPET
Napkin is the baby! He's babey!!
He's also a little menace that tends to sneak out of his Pokeball and cause trouble and mischief whenever possible. A true agent of Chaos.

ABOUT AVIVA x GORDIE
AKA Godiva AKA Rocksalts
Initially they met under false pretenses with Aviva having no idea who Gordie was due to his more casual look. Aviva's really bad with faces so it took her an embarrassingly long time to figure out his true identity.That's part of what endeared Gordie to Aviva and why he kept visiting her at her bookstore on an almost daily basis. He had become so used to fans and people clamoring for a piece of his fame that he had long forgotten what it's like to connect with someone who didn't care/think about his status - that only cared about him as a person.They're both hard-working individuals who hyper-fixate on their interests and can talk at length about them. Aviva loves listening to Gordie talk and vice-versa. It's this mutual, genuine interest that attracted them to one another and actually got Aviva to open up.For the sake of Aviva's anxiety, they keep their relationship a secret for a long time until they finally agree to take the next step.It's the worst kept secret in Galar amongst the rest of the gym leaders.When together (and in a more casual setting) they give off heavy "mom and dad of the group" vibes so everyone just kinda.. KNOWS.But that's fine. All in due time.Gordie loves Aviva's sarcastic sense of humor, her quiet selflessness, her passion for storytelling, and her soft, tender way of expressing the love she has for others. (Oh, and her ass too.)Aviva loves Gordie's goofy sense of humor, his boundless charisma, his passion for Pokemon, and the confident, unabashed way he loves others with all his might and then some. (Oh, and his arms too.)Gordie is very much the Sun to Aviva's Moon.
